This notice explains how Rich in Travel handles personal information when you use this website, contact us, request a quote, subscribe to travel notes or opt in to marketing.
Who we are
Rich in Travel is an independent travel advisory operating through InteleTravel UK Ltd. You can contact us at hello@richintravel.co.uk.
Information we collect
When you make an enquiry, we may collect your name, email address, telephone number, preferred UK airport, travel dates, traveller numbers, approximate budget and the holiday preferences you choose to share. If you subscribe to travel notes, we collect your email address and subscription request. We do not ask you to submit passport details, payment information or sensitive health information through the website.
How and why we use it
- To respond to your enquiry, prepare travel options and take steps you request before a booking.
- To communicate about an enquiry or booking and provide customer support.
- To meet legal, regulatory, accounting and fraud-prevention obligations.
- To send travel inspiration or offers only where you have actively opted in, or where another lawful marketing permission applies.
Our lawful bases will normally be steps taken at your request before a contract, performance of a contract, legitimate interests in operating and protecting the business, compliance with legal obligations, and consent for optional email marketing.
Who receives your information
The website enquiry and subscription forms are processed by FormSubmit, which forwards the information to Rich in Travel by email. If you proceed with a quote or booking, relevant information may be shared with InteleTravel UK Ltd and the named tour operator, airline, accommodation provider, insurer, transfer company or other supplier required to arrange the services you request. Those organisations may provide their own privacy information.
International processing
Some technology and travel suppliers may process personal information outside the UK. Where UK data protection law applies, information should be protected using an approved adequacy decision, contractual safeguards or another lawful transfer mechanism.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become bookings are normally retained for no longer than 12 months, unless there is a good reason to keep them for longer or you ask us to delete them sooner. Booking, financial and complaint records may need to be retained for longer to meet contractual or legal obligations. Marketing preferences are retained until you unsubscribe or the record is no longer needed.
Email marketing
The quote form contains a separate, optional marketing choice and the inspiration page includes a dedicated subscription form. Marketing consent is not required to receive a quote. You can withdraw consent or opt out at any time by replying to an email or contacting us. Withdrawing from marketing does not affect service messages about an enquiry or booking.
Cookies and external services
This website does not currently use analytics, advertising or other non-essential cookies. It loads fonts supplied by Google, which means a technical request, including your IP address, may be sent to Google when the page loads. If non-essential cookies or analytics are introduced later, this notice and the website's consent controls will be updated before they are activated.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct, erase or restrict your personal information, object to certain uses, request data portability, and withdraw consent. Contact us using the details above. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Security and changes
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information, but ordinary email and internet transmission cannot be guaranteed completely secure. Please do not send sensitive documents until we have confirmed an appropriate method. This notice may be updated when services or legal requirements change; the date above shows the latest revision.
